One of the most popular jazz bands in Hungary, the BALÁZS ELEMÉR GROUP was founded in 2000 by drummer Elemér Balázs, an internationally recognized veteran who has worked with the likes of Ben Monder, Joe Lovano, and the great Pat Metheny – who considers Elemér one of the world’s best living drummers. The Group is ethno-jazz at its finest, featuring a strikingly melodious sound that owes as much to Hungarian folk music as it does to the international language of jazz.
